LOVE cars and bikes? Then you ‘auto’ know about an event coming to Harrogate’s Ripley Castle over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Taking place on Monday May 29th, the popular Yorkshire Classic Car and Bike Show is the third 2017 outing for Mark Woodward – the man behind a whole series of shows like it – and it’s set to be a big hit.
Car aficionados in and around the area will love the chance to ‘get their motor running’ and head to the beautiful surroundings of the 700-year old castle. The event will feature a classic Land Rover display, light commercials, classic cars and bikes, alongside a show arena and plenty of trade stands.
Afterwards, you can check out the venue itself – home to the Ingilby family for over seven centuries – and its stunning gardens.
Offering trade stands, an exciting show arena and lots more, entry to the event, set in the deer park, is just £7 for adults. Why not take the rest of your family, too? Entry is £2.50 for children and there’s lots for them to do once you’ve finished marvelling at the vehicles on offer.
After checking out the auto jumble, trade stands and vehicle displays why not enjoy a tour around the castle? The castle’s gardens are ideal for an afternoon walk or summer picnic, so go prepared!
The village of Ripley has all sorts to keep you entertained, too, from cafes and pubs to quaint gift shops. But while you’ll enjoy rambling around the grounds with your family and friends, you won’t be allowed to take your dog along to the event unfortunately.
