Irish Motorbike & Scooter Show 2015

This is the 9th year for Ireland’s biggest motorcycle show with an estimated 27,000 visitors over 3 days so I’m expecting it to be a very busy weekend!

Just heard Michael Dunlop is opening the show on the Friday ~ maybe I’ll get my first ‘selfie with someone famous’ 😀  Steve Parrish and John McGuinness will be there on the Saturday and the Sunday so apart from being very interesting gentlemen to talk to there will be photo opportuniities on all three days! 🙂

This weekend also sees Ireland play England in the Six Nations Rugby on the Sunday so I’m looking forward to a real party atmosphere, and please forgive me if I ask ‘Would you be interested in subscribing to BSH and do you know how the Rugby’s doing?’ 🙂

Hopefully I will get time to see some of the international freestyle stunt riding competition sponsored by The Ace Cafe that is being run for the first time at the RDS. There are five cash prizes plus a trip for two to London for the winner to compete in Ace Cafe’s Annual Stunt Fest in July – if you fancy your chances there’s an entry form, rules & disclaimer on the show website www.irishmotorbikeshow.com – then look for Stunt-Starz.

Looking forward to the Ace Café classic and retro zone too. I’m always in awe of the old café racers and the Ace will have some genuine 50’s machines on display – probably with ‘do not touch’ labels but I can dream … 😀

What I’m really looking forward to though is seeing the entries for the Irish leg of the international AMD bike building competition. There will be over 50 bikes on display and the winner of this event will go on to represent Ireland in the  AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building Competition finals. Again, more info can be found on the show website www.irishmotorbikeshow.com/amd-world-championship/

So, Glyn & Jewels are busy stocking up the BSH and Streetfighters merchandise ready to bring over. I’ve booked my flight and a B&B, checked my passport is still valid for my first visit to Dublin, and my first International assignment for Back Street Heroes ~ doesn’t that sound posh! 😀

If you’ve not got your tickets yet, the discounted Early-Bird offer runs until Feb 14th
