DirtQuake 2017 (8-9 July 2017) was the roaring success everybody knew it would be. Held over the weekend of 8-9 July, at Kings Lynn’s Adrian Flux Stadium, the entry list for every group and genre of flat track racing was full to the point of disappointment for some late race entries. However, for the competitors and the thousands of spectators that did manage to compete and attend the weekend’s fun-filled festival, it was definitely a case of smiles all-round and a big thumbs up as the gates closed.

The race action and race fun are just part of the content of a new H-D UK video released on YouTube. Not only can you witness the thrills and spills of racing Harleys, but also the spectators, the fun-filled side of paddock life and the day long entertainment, on and off-track.

The biggest class of motorcycles at DirtQuake – the UK’s flat track racing spectacle of the year – was the Harley Class, where the sound of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles from the past and present filled the speedway arena, paddock and the air around Kings Lynn.

While everyone who entered the Harley Class proved to be a crowd-winner regardless of race result, the actual winner of the class final was Tim Neave (No.2) from Lincolnshire, who made racing a near-standard Street Rod® look like a flat track masterclass.

Of the many entries in the Harley Class, there was a selection of specialist media from the UK, Nordic regions and Benelux states – most of who had never raced at flat track let alone heard of DirtQuake. Regardless, these brave souls rode track-modified Street Rods and quickly learnt the art of inducing front and rear wheel slides and to make full use of the engine performance and nimble handling of this latest Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Another class that ran at Dirtquake, and can be seen on the new video, was the Hooligan Class, where all types of two-wheelers could go head-to-head. Needless to say this provided interesting racing… So too did the competitors wearing fancy dress, plus the selection of cobbled together machines and colour schemes.

DirtQuake 2017 was a roaring success for everyone concerned. Relive the event if you went, or find out what makes DirtQuake the best fun-filled motorcycle racing spectacle by watching the latest Harley-Davidson video.
