Triumph Thunderbird 6T engine which was rebuilt around 10 years ago by Dave Degens of Dresda Autos and for various reasons it has covered only around 35 mies since then. I had to put it into storage as I had nowhere to keep it. The engine was completely rebuilt with many brand new parts. Dresda also fabricated a primary drive cover, chainguard and other parts at this time.
I believe the frame is an Uncle Bunt hardtail based on a BSA B10 but this is only based on comparisons with similar bikes I’ve seen on-line. Dave Degens also made some modifications to the frame to better accommodate the refurbished engine. We could not match the tank paint so the frame was painted in Triumph Daytona yellow which I was going to match the rear fender and tank with at some
The front wheel is a Norton TLS, rear is also Norton, I’m not sure what model.
The shocks are Harley Showa and the seat is also Harley.
It has a Mustang tank and ape-hangers fitted.
It runs and sounds great but could do with lots of TLC in the paint and polish departments. The engine is barely run in so I would expect it to need some tightening etc. I had it recommissioned locally and they had the magneto rewound and replaced the battery as they had deteriorated through non-use for the last 5 years.
The bike owes me upwards of £9,000 but I’m open to sensible offers as it needs some tidying but all in all it is made up of very desirable components, particularly the Dresda 6T Thunderbird engine which has done only 35 miles.
