Despite a number of rumours, some quite unpleasant, the BMAD Paignton Bike Fest, probably the biggest bike show in the south-west of Britain, and a damn good weekend, is happening again this year!
Held on the first bank holiday weekend in May (3-5) down on Paignton seafront in Paignton in Devon, BMAD runs over two and a half days (Friday night, Saturday and Sunday), and raises thousands and thousands of pounds each year for a variety of charities.
It’s a hell of an event with hundreds (well, it feels like it anyway!) of trade stalls, a huge bike show with £1,000 for Best in Show (yep, you did read that right – £1,000!), bikes parked the whole length of Paignton seafront, and so many live bands over the (nearly) three days that you really wonder how they manage to put it on for such a low entrance price.
To see the bands Friday night will cost you just £5, to see the bands from 10am to 11pm Saturday is also just £5, and to see the bands all day Sunday will also cost you just £5!
