BSH welcomes war hero Simon Weston CBE in journey to getting on the road

In our November issue of Back Street Heroes, we have the pleasure of welcoming Falklands War veteran Simon Weston CBE.

If you’ve seen the last couple of issues of Back Street Heroes, you’ll know war hero Simon Weston’s had a Triumph-engined trike built for him so he can achieve a lifetime ambition of getting on the road.

It’s been nearly 40 years since Simon suffered 46% burns over his body when the ship he was on, the Sir Galahad, was bombed by the Argentinian Air Force during the Falklands War, requiring multiple and extensive surgeries.

Since in recovery he has been working with various charities, but now wants to – despite badly damaged hands – achieve a longing ambition of getting on the road.
